At IBM, you are a part-time employee if you work less than 40 hours per week. Working less will affect your pension accrual. In fact, a lower salary also means lower pension accrual.<\/strong> It does not affect the pension you have already accrued.<\/p>\n

Good to know:<\/p>\n

  1. Your additional voluntary DC contribution may be too high for tax purposes. Check to see if you need to reduce it. <\/li>\n
  2. Your partner’s pension will be lower if you work less. Have you taken out insurance for this? <\/li>\n
  3. You do not need to report changes in your working hours to us separately. We receive this information automatically through IBM’s payroll system. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
