The pension amounts in the Planner are lower than the calculations I get from the SPIN service desk. How is that possible?
In the Planner on MySPIN, we take into account future loss of purchasing power due to inflation in the SPIN pension amounts (gross and net). We simulate this in the planner by showing lower amounts. We do this because we think it is important for you to realize that the money you have now (accumulated) will have less value in the future. The amounts the service desk calculates for you are the actual amounts you will receive. This causes a (small) difference between the amounts from the planner compared to the service desk's calculations. The further away from your retirement date you are, the greater the difference will be.
