Why don't IBM and Kyndryl choose to convert (in-save) the existing pensions to a new pension plan?

The choice not to convert accrued capital and pension rights is part of the decision on the new pension plan. That choice and the reasoning for it comes from IBM and Kyndryl, after consultation with the (central) works councils. The reasoning therefore comes from the employer(s) and is included in 'transition plans'. You can find your (former) employer's transition plan on MySPIN. (Nader belicht / New pension plan).
