The SPIN Board has reviewed the proposal from IBM Netherlands and Kyndryl, along with their works councils, regarding the transition to the new pension rules. We have determined that we can proceed with implementing the proposed plan. This decision is an important step forward toward the new pension plan for IBM Netherlands employees, which will take effect on January 1, 2028. Are you no longer accruing pension benefits with SPIN? Or are you already retired? If so, this transition will not affect you.
The implementation plan for the transition has been delivered to De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). This plan states why the arrangement is feasible for SPIN and that we consider the transition balanced. Part of the implementation plan is the transition communication plan. This plan has been delivered to the Financial Markets Authority (AFM). This plan states how and when we will inform everyone who has a pension with us about the transition to the new pension scheme.
DNB and the AFM will review the plans and eventually give their approval. This is necessary to move to the new pension rules.
