The SPIN board has reviewed the order from IBM Netherlands and Kyndryl and their works councils for the transition to the new pension rules. We have determined that we can proceed with the proposed plan. This decision is an important step forward towards the new pension plan for IBM Nederland employees, which will take effect January 1, 2028. Do you no longer work at IBM? Do you work at Kyndryl and still have pension entitlements with SPIN? Or are you already retired? Then nothing will change for you as a result of this transition.
The implementation plan for the transition has been delivered to De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). This plan states why the arrangement is feasible for SPIN and that we consider the transition balanced. Part of the implementation plan is the transition communication plan. This plan has been delivered to the Financial Markets Authority (AFM). This plan states how and when we will inform everyone who has a pension with us about the transition to the new pension scheme.
DNB and the AFM will review the plans and eventually give their approval. This is necessary to move to the new pension rules.
