On Jan. 24, we paid out the first pensions for the year 2022. SPIN increased the gross pensions as of January 1 with a surcharge; this surcharge was included in the first payment. The annual statements for 2021 and the gross/net specifications will also arrive no later than this week. You will see more information about the surcharge, tax and contributions on these.
We list the most important changes for you below.
The amount you received net differs from the 2021 amount. This is partly because of the supplement and partly because the government changes the (tax) rates almost every year on January 1. As a result, this year you will have more net income than last year. How much depends on your personal situation.
Payroll tax
We usually deduct payroll taxes from your pension. New tax tables apply as of Jan. 1, 2022. This changes the amount of payroll tax. As a result, we will deduct more or less tax from your pension. How much you pay depends on your income. Do you live abroad? Then you may have to deal with deductions from CAK. More information can be found here.
Want to know when you will receive AOW? Check your AOW age on the website of the Social Insurance Bank. There you will also find the new AOW amounts. Are you going to receive AOW for the first time in 2022? Then there is an adjusted rate.
Zvw contribution
- The statutory Healthcare Insurance Act (Zvw) contribution rate fell to 5.50% (in 2021: 5.75%).
- The maximum amount on which you pay income-related healthcare insurance contributions has increased to € 59,706 (in 2021: € 58,311).
