For one person it is something that has been looked forward to for a long time and for another it comes much too soon. Your situation is unique, which is why we are happy to help you. Before you can enjoy your retirement, you have a few things to take care of. This does not happen automatically. You can make various choices to ensure that your pension fits your personal situation as well as possible.
Fortunately, we already have information and helpful tools online to help you make your choices.
What choices do I have?
The Choice Tool on MySPIN gives you insight into the choices you have, and with a few questions you can discover which choices suit you best. There are three variants, depending on the type of pension you accrue or have accrued.
Do you only have a DC capital with SPIN? => Choice Guide for DC
Do you only have a DB pension with SPIN? => Choice Guide for DB
Do you have both a DB pension and a DC capital with SPIN? => Choice Guide for DB and DC
Are you age 55 or older? If so, you will find the Choices Guide that applies to you in the Pension Planner and at Closer look on MySPIN.
Click on a link below to get more information about a particular choice in MySPIN.
- Quitting work earlier
- First a higher and then a lower pension, or vice versa
- Swapping between retirement and partner’s pension
- Part-time pension (only possible if you have a DB pension)
How much pension can I expect?
With the Pension Planner you can get an idea of how certain pension choices will affect the amount of your pension benefit. By default, the Planner shows the AOW and the pension from SPIN. It is also very easy to add your pension from other employers. To do so, click the ‘add pension from other employers’ button in the Planner.
Good to know, the Planner works with certain assumptions. What assumptions these are is explained above the Planner. These assumptions mean that there may be discrepancies between the amounts in the Planner, in other places in MySPIN and with the (indicative) pension calculations you receive before you retire.
You can find further information in MySPIN. There you can also see which type(s) of pension you are accruing(Details). In the Pension Planner you can find out what the effects of these choices are, such as bringing your pension forward or first a higher and then a lower pension or vice versa. You can also ask your questions by calling 020 – 347 2722 or at info@spin.nl.
